Mark Bayert

It is with sadness at his passing, but celebration for his joining the church triumphant, that we inform you The Rev. Mark Bayert passed into God’s glory on Wednesday, December 9^th, 2009.  Rev. Bayert, was an Honorably Retired member of the Presbytery of the Twin Cities Area.  Mark retired from Oak Grove Presbyterian Church in Bloomington in September of 2007 after serving 9 years as Pastor. ( A full obituary is found in the December 10 Minneapolis Star Tribune.)

 

Services will be held at Oak Grove Presbyterian Church in Bloomington Saturday, December 12^th, 2009 at 2:00 p.m.  Visitation will follow the service.  Mark was a rather high church Presbyterian and he loved processions!  In that spirit we invite clergy who will be attending the service on Saturday at Oak Grove to wear a robe (of any color) and a white stole.  The clergy will process in with the choir and be seated together as honorary pallbearers.

 

The family asks that memorials go to Heifer Project or Bread for the World.
