Past Officers of the PTCA
Since its inception the PTCA officers have been Moderator, Moderator-elect (formerly Vice-moderator), Treasurer and Stated Clerk. The organizing moderator served only for the first meeting. Subsequent moderators served one-year terms for a calendar year until 1999 when the dates of office were changed. To facilitate the transition Moderator Manley Olson was re-elected and served an additional six months. Since then the term has been one year. With one exception the Vice-moderator/Moderator-elect has become Moderator. Joan Beebe declined to be nominated. Judith Kim thus became the only Moderator not to have served as Vice-moderator. Because of the transition Virginia Rassieur served for 18 months. The terms of Stated Clerk and Treasurer have normally been for three years. Under current by-laws the Treasurer can serve only two terms while there is no limit for the clerk.
