PTCA Seeks GA Commissioners

The Presbytery of the Twin Cities Area is looking for ministers, elders and young adults who are interested in serving as commissioners to the 219th General Assembly held July 3-10, 2010 in Minneapolis.

The PTCA is entitled to send four elder commissioners, four minister commissioners and one young adult advisory delagate to GA.  Going to General Assembly here in Minneapolis is not as exciting as going to San Jose, but it is an opportunity to participate and experience Presbyterian government in action, and a chance to meet and fellowship with Presbyterians from around the United States. 

If you are interested in being nominated, please fill out one of the forms below and send it in to the Presbytery office by close of business on December 3.  Elections for the commissioners will take place at the January 2010 Presbytery meeting. 

You can turn in a completed form and submit it by mail or email.

Charity Concert at Chain of Lakes

Chain of Lakes Church will celebrate the first day of their new worship space by sharing a concert for the community. On Tuesday, December 1 at 7:00 the Cedar Lake 7, a Men’s Gospel Choir, will perform at the Lino Lakes Senior Center, located at 1189 Main Street in Lino Lakes. Tickets are $5 for adults with proceeds going to CEAP, a community-based charity that offers a many types of assistance to families in need. Children and youth can attend the concert for FREE. Chain of Lakes Needs Chairs!

\"chair\"Chain of Lakes Presbyterian Church, a new church development of the Presbytery of the Twin Cities Area,   is asking Presbyterian churches in our Presbytery to consider purchasing one (or more)   chairs for the start of the regular worship services on January 31. Chain of Lakes is looking to buy 75 chairs for worship and with your help, they can make their goal. (more…)
