Position: Rehearsal Accompanist Job Description: Presbyterian Church of the Apostles is seeking a part-time pianist to accompany choir rehearsals on Wednesday evenings (7:30-8:30pm) on a regular basis. The pianist will be available to perform the rehearsed pieces approximately three Sundays a month at the Sunday service (10-11am) with a run-through rehearsal before the service.
Qualifications: Skill in accompanying a choral rehearsal as needed by the conductor.
Terms: This is a temporary contract position for six months with the possibility of renewal at the end of the contract. Compensation is $1300/six months (September 2012 – February 2103)

Position: Interim Director of Children’s Ministry Presbyterian Church of the Way (PCOTW) is seeking a part-time (20 – 24 hours per week) Interim Director of Children’s Ministry. PCOTW is a growing, Christ-centered, caring, loving, and learning community, rejoicing in our faith, expanding discipleship, reaching out to others, inviting diversity, and calling for full participation in the ministry. The congregation is committed to following Christ through active involvement in the life of the church, both within our walls, and in the community and world.
Working under the direction of the Pastor/Head of Staff, the Interim Director of Children’s Ministry will be in partnership with the Pastor and the Education Commission to develop and implement a comprehensive educational program for children, fifth grade and younger, that is dedicated to the teachings of Jesus Christ and the church, affirms the essential beliefs of the Reformed Tradition, and enriches and expands the life of the congregation.

Position: Music Ministry Leader REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree, working towards a degree in music, or equivalent experience…Excellent skills in keyboard/piano and sight reading music…Ability to motivate congregation to share their musical gifts…Knowledge of and commitment to quality Christian music, both traditional and contemporary. JOB SUMMARY: Plan, lead, and organize the music ministry at Chain of Lakes, a new Presbyterian Church (USA) in the Northern Twin Cities suburbs. SALARY: Negotiable, 10 hours a week, 48 weeks a year.
RESPONSIBILITIES: a) Provide music leadership in worship b) Encourage and develop musical gifts within congregation. Develop a Praise Band in the future c) Select and schedule music for worship services at COL in collaboration with the Pastor d) In collaboration with the Pastor and Worship Team plan & evaluate worship services e) Arrange for special music f) Attend meetings with Staff and Worship Team. g) Arrange for substitute when not able to be present. h) Seek opportunities to develop music groups at COL among children, youth, and adults i) Keep informed and share ideas about new trends of music in worship
